Vale and I were thrilled to accept a High Impact award at the 10th Annual Compassion Awards two weeks ago on behalf of the Women of Heart Ministry.
Somebody Cares Tampa Bay and the Christian Legacy Foundation coordinate this banquet each year. They want to encourage all of the people that are ministering to our community in the name of the Lord. Dozens of ministries were in attendance; food pantries, pregnancy centers, prison ministries, homeless ministeries, youth programs, etc. It was exciting to see all that the Lord is doing in our area.
Ken Johnson, the chaplain of the Indianapolis Colts, was the key note speaker. He encouraged us to continue to show the love of Christ, even when it is difficult. The enemy wants nothing more than for us to give up.
During the month of February, our group will serve more than 50 meals to families and individuals in His name. These people are so appreciative and thankful that someone cares and that our group is willing to minister to them through meals, transportation, visitation, phone calls, donating household items, gift cards, cleaning and most importantly prayer.
Thank you ladies.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10
